핀란드, 필리핀에서 고부가가치 숙련 노동자 찾는다!

Finland to hire high-value skilled workers

Aside from nurses, Finland is also on the lookout for high-value skills such as information technology experts and other specialized fields.
In an interview with Finland Ambassador to the Philippines Juha Pyykkö, he said while the social and health sector dominate the employment opportunities in Finland, there is also good potential for those in other fields of expertise to land a job, as the country is continuing to grow in other sectors.
At present, there are about 5,000 to 6,000 Filipinos living in Finland, most of whom are medical professionals.
A country with only 5.5 million population, the ambassador said they are needing experts in different fields, including nurses as a constant need for its growing economy.
Aside from Finland’s interest to help the development of sustainable economy in the Philippines, such as improving the share of renewable energy mix in the country, the ambassador also mentioned that the Embassy has initial discussions with Department of Education (DepEd) secretary and Vice President Sara Duterte for a possible policy dialogue.

현재 핀란드에는 약 5천~6천 여명의 필리핀 사람들이 거주하고 있으며, 거의 대부분이 의료전문가들이다.
주필 핀란드 대사는 인구가 550만 명에 불과한 핀란드가 성장하는 경제에 지속적으로 다양한 분야의 전문가가 필요하다고 말했다.
때문에 지속 가능한 경제 발전을 돕기 위한 핀란드의 관심으로 필리핀 교육부 장관과 부통령을 겸임하고 있는 사라 두테르테와 초기 의논을 하고 있다고 밝혔다.
주필 핀란드 대사는 또한 재생 에너지, 순환경제, 플라스틱, 배터리 저장 기술, 스마트 관련 기술 등과 같은 필리핀에 투자하고자 하는 여러 필리핀 투자자들이 있다고 언급했다.
또 핀란드 관광객이 따뜻한 열대 나라인 필리핀을 많이 방문하고 싶어하여 관광부문 성장이 큰 잠재력이 있으며, 필리핀 사람들도 미주나 유럽보다 핀란드를 미개척 지역으로 간주하며 상호 양방의 관심사가 충족될 가능성이 많다고 인정했다.
지난 10월 11일 주필리핀 핀란드 대사는 세부를 방문하여 이제 하늘길이 본격적으로 열리는 포스트 코로나 시대에 핀란드 여행자의 관심이 필리핀으로 쏠릴 것을 예견했다.
