Cebu City may downgrade from Alert Level 3 soon, IATF officials say

As the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to decline, Cebu City may downgrade its Alert Level 3 status soon.
Officials from the national government on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, expressed hope that the island province may transition to a more relaxed community quarantine status.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease in the Visayas (IATF-Visayas) also shared the same opinion with the NTF.
The Resbakuna sa Botika, an initiative spearheaded by the Department of Health (DOH), allows pharmacies to administer booster shots to individuals aged 18 to 59 years old.
The IATF extended Cebu City’s Alert Level 3 until February 15.

코로나19 신규확진 사례가 점차 감소하면서 세부시에 곧 검역조치 Lv.3에서 하향조정이 이루어질 전망이다.
지난 2월 2일 정부관계자는 세부 섬 전역에 보다 완화된 지역사회 검역 조치로 전환되기를 희망한다고 밝혔다.
IATF 비사야지역 담당자 역시 확진사례가 줄면서 상황이 안정세에 들어간 것으로 보고 검역수준의 하향 조정을 긍정적으로 전망하고 있다.
IATF의 주요 관계자는 약국에서 백신접종을 시행하는 정부주도 프로그램인 Resbakuna sa Botika의 세부 출시를 기념하기 위해 세부시를 방문했다.
이 프로그램은 약국에서 18세~59세 성인에게 부스트샷을 접종하도록 하는 캠페인이다.
앞서 IATF는 세부시의 검역 조치 단계를 Lv.3로 2월 15일까지 연장한 바 있다.
