THE Visayan Electric Company said it had restored power to 68.37 percent of its 474,182 affected customers in Metro Cebu as 12 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.
This means that 324,216 affected customers have gotten back their supply of electricity.
Visayan Electric still has to restore power supply to its 149,966 customers in the next 15 days before it could reach its target of restoring electricity to 100 percent of its affected customers by January 31.
2022년 1월 16일 일요일 낮 12시 기준 메트로 세부 지역에서 지난달 12월 태풍 이후 정전 사태를 겪고 있던 474,182가구의 고객 중 68.37% 가구의 전력을 복구했다고 밝혔다.
Visayan Electric은 1월 31일까지 메트로 세부지역의 모든 전력을 100% 복구한다는 목표를 갖고 있다.
지난달 12월 16일 목요일 저녁 세부 중부와 남부를 강타한 태풍 오데트는 하루 만에 많은 전신주와 전력선을 황폐화시켰다.
Visayan Electric의 관계자는 1월 15일 언론에 1월 31일 100% 전력 복구를 달성할 자신이 있다고 말했다.
2년여만에 세부지역 일일 확진자가 500명이 넘어서며 최악의 코로나19 확산세가 이어지고 있다.
제20대 대통령 재외국민선거인 등록자 수가 전체 재외선거 유권자의 11.51% 수준에 그쳤다.
