Cebu City to yield to IATF rules

Cebu City's Executive Order 143 or Oplan PPP-KKK will have to be fine-tuned, particularly with respect to the reopening of restobars and serving of liquor.
The proposed improvement of the measure came after the advice of IATF Visayas chief implementer retired General Melquiades Feliciano for the city to follow national guidelines on reopening of restobars.
Under the revised omnibus guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force, the following are not allowed to operate during general community quarantine: karaoke bars, bars, clubs, concert halls, theaters, and cinemas as well as recreational venues such as internet cafes, billiard halls, amusement arcades, bowling alleys, and similar venues and amusement parks or theme parks, fairs/peryas, kid amusement industries such as playgrounds, playroom, and kiddie rides.

세부시의 새로운 행정명령은 특히 레스토랑의 재개장과 주류 제공 등과 관련하여 조정되어야 할 전망이다.
IATF 비사야 지부의 관계자는 세부시가 레스토랑 재개장과 관련하여 중앙정부와 IATF의 지침을 따라야 할 것이라고 밝혔다.
IATF의 규정에 따라 GCQ 기간동안 해당 지역은 노래방, 술집, 클럽, 콘서트홀, 극장, 영화관, 인터넷 카페, 당구장 등의 레크리에이션 영업장 이용이 금지된다.
놀이방, 볼링장, 테마파트, 박람회 놀이터, 어린이 오락실 등도 마찬가지이다.
이에 대해 마이클 라마 세부시장 대행은 이해 관계자들과 향후 계획을 논의하여 해당 산업 부문이 생계를 회복할 수 있도록 도울 것이라고 말했다.
IATF의 관계자는 이전 경험에 비추어 볼 때 코로나19의 확산세가 다시 급증할 경우 3~4주 정도의 시간이 소요될 것으로 보이기 때문에 이를 미연에 방지하기 위해 주류 제공 시설의 재개방에 대해 국가 지침을 따라야 할 것이라고 언급했다.
한편, 일부 세부시의회 의원들은 코로나19 대유행에 대처하는 정책 결정 기관인 IATF를 폐지하자는 일부 상원의 요구를 지지한다고 밝혔다.
IATF를 폐지하고 각 지방 정부가 관할 지역에서 코로나19 대응을 주도해야 한다는 의견이다.
이들의 의견은 IATF의 일관성 없는 정책이 국민을 통합하기 보다 국민적 혼란을 야기한다고 지적했다.
