EOC eyes MGCQ status for Cebu City after September 30

Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera, deputy chief implementer of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), is confident the city will transition to a less-restrictive quarantine classification by the end of the month owing to the decreasing number in COVID-19 cases and positivity rate.
Garganera said they are looking at a possible change of quarantine status from general community quarantine (GCQ) to modified MGCQ starting next month.
He encouraged those who are not yet vaccinated to have themselves immunized against COVID-19 as soon as possible and to avoid being choosy with the brands. Regardless of the brand, all vaccines are proven to be effective against the dreaded virus.

세부시 코로나19 관련 긴급운영센터(EOC)는 세부시에 코로나19 사례가 점차 감소함에 따라 이달 말 이후 덜 제한적인 검역분류로 전화할 것으로 내다봤다.
EOC의 가가네라 의원은 다음달부터 현행 GCQ에서 MGCQ로 검역상태를 변경할 수 있는 가능성을 검토하고 있다고 언급했다.
그는 아직 예방접종을 받지 않은 사람들에게 가능한 한 빨리 코로나19 백신을 접종하고 브랜드를 따지지 말라고 권고했다.
브랜드에 관계없이 모든 백신이 코로나19 바이러스에 효과적인 것으로 입증되었다고 거듭 강조했다.
한편, 해리 로크 대통령 대변인은 9월 30일 이후로는 전국적으로 세부적인 봉쇄조치가 시행되지 않을 것으로 예상했다.
