COVID-19 positivity rate in Cebu City goes down

Cebu City’s positivity rate for COVID-19 infection is inching closer back to the five percent threshold of the World Health Organization (WHO), which is one of the considerations in reopening a place’s economy further.
The city’s latest rate is 6.26 percent recorded the other day.
“This is a series of ups and downs. It depends on our behavior,” said Councilor Joel Garganera, deputy chief implementer of the city’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Based on EOC’s recent data, only 66 turned out positive out of 1,054 residents tested.
The city’s critical care utilization, meanwhile, is now considered safe at 46.4 percent with only one hospital left at high-risk level.

9월 22일 세부시의 최고 양성률은 6.26%를 기록했다.
세부시 코로나19 비상운영 센터는 1,054명의 주민이 코로나19 검사를 받았고, 이들 중 66명 만이 양성응로 판명되었다고 전했다.
세부시의 주요 병원 중환자실 이용률도 46.4%대로 떨어져 고위험 수준인 곳은 한 곳 뿐이며 원활히 운영되고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
비상운영센터의 가가네라 의원은 활성 사례의 감소에 대해 다양한 부문이 벌인 공통의 노력 덕분이지만 또한 경찰과 각 바랑가이 인력의 노력을 특별히 언급하며 치하했다.
가가네라 의원은 이달 말 경부터 규제가 완화될 것으로 예상하며 그러나 긴장을 늦추지 말고 다가오는 크리스마스 시기까지도 모두 안전하게 확고한 공중보건 프로토콜을 준수하자고 당부했다.
