필리핀, 동남아에서 2번째로 큰 자동차 시장

Philippines is 2nd fastest growing vehicle market in ASEAN

The Philippines was the second-fastest growing motor vehicle market in Southeast Asia during the first seven months of the year, a regional industry group said.
Based on data from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Automotive Federation, the Philippines trailed only Indonesia, both in terms of output and sales, accelerating by over 40 percent from a year ago when pandemic-induced lockdowns dampened demand for cars.
Motor vehicles assembled in the Philippines rose 48.4 percent to 50,046 units in the seven months to July, from 33,715 units in the same period last year.
Total vehicles produced in ASEAN went up 38.3 percent to 1.96 million units in the January to July period from 1.42 million units a year ago.
Philippine motor vehicles sales, meanwhile, climbed 46 percent to 154,265 units as of end-July from 105,583 units the previous year.

필리핀은 올해들어 1월부터 7월까지 동남아 지역에서 두 번째로 빠르게 성장하는 자동차 시장임을 보였다.
아세안 자동차 연맹 (Asean Automotive Federation)의 보고에 따르면 필리핀은 생산량과 판매량 면에서 인도네시아의 뒤를 이어 동남아 지역 2위의 순위를 기록했다.
코로나19 전염병으로 인한 봉쇄조치가 자동차 수요를 위축시켰던 전년 동기간 보다 40%이상 증가한 수치이다.
필리핀에서 조립되는 자동차는 올 들어 7월까지 5만 46대로, 지난해 동기간 3만 3,715대에서 48.4%가 증가했다.
한편, 인도네시아는 7월 말 기준으로 49.4%가 증가하여 아세안 국가 중 자동차 생산 증가율이 가장 높았다.
생산량이 오히려 86% 감소한 미얀마를 제외하고, 베트남 47.9%, 태국 39.2%, 말레이시아 14.2% 등 다른 인접 아세안 국가들도 자동차 생산량이 두 자릿수 성장을 기록했다.
아세안 지역의 자동차 전체 생산량은 올해 1월부터 7월까지 196만대를 기록해 전년 동기간의 142만대 대비 38.3%늘어났다.
필리핀의 자동차 판매량은 전년 105,583대에서 154,265대로 46%증가했다.
인도네시아는 판매량 부문에서 60.8%증가를 기록하여 선두를 지켰다.
올 들어 7월까지 자동차 판매량이 증가한 아세안 지역 다른 국가로는 싱가포르 40.7%, 베트남 26.9%, 말레이시아 10.2%, 태국 9.7%이며, 다만 미얀마는 43.4%감소했다.
오토바이 부문의 경우에는 필리핀이 아세안 지역에서 조립 및 판매량에 가장 높은 성장을 보였다.
필리핀에서 조립된 오토바이 생산량은 전년대비 90.6%가 늘어났다.
