Issuance of vax certificates to start next month - BOQ

The Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) said yesterday that the issuance of the COVID-19 vaccination certificates may start next month.
In a public briefing, BOQ deputy director Roberto Salvador Jr. noted that the government is now speeding up the system for the digital vaccination certificates.
The target, he said, is to start the issuance in September.
“We are part of the technical working group that is working on this digital vaccination card (program), with the DICT on the lead,” he said, referring to the Department of Information and Communication Technology.
Salvador added it would be the Department of Foreign Affairs that will coordinate with other countries so that the “official vaccination certificates” will be recognized internationally.

필리핀 검역국(BOQ)은 코로나19 예방접종 증명서 발급이 다음 달부터 시작된다고 밝혔다.
BOQ의 관계자는 공개 브리핑을 통해 정부가 현재 예방접종 증명서 시스템의 디지털화를 가속화하고 있다고 언급했다.
목표는 9월부터 본격적인 발행을 시작하는 것이다.
정보통신부는 디지털 예방접종카드 프로그램 작업을 얹어 외교부가 발생하는 공식 예방접종 증명서가 국제적으로 인정될 수 있도록 다른 국가들과도 협력할 것이라고 덧붙였다.
BOQ가 인정하는 옐로 카드를 받으면 세계보건기구(WHO)에 가입한 196개국에서 인정받을 수 있습니다. 하지만 BOQ 관계자는 당장 해외여행 일정이 없는 사람들은 가급적 옐로카드를 신청하지 말라고 당부했다.
이주 노동자들의 신청을 위한 처리가 우선되어야 하기 때문이다.
