공공장소, 의무적인 위생관련 표지판 세워야

Hygiene awareness signs mandatory in public areas

The Cebu City Council has passed an ordinance mandating the installation of signage, stickers, or any similar materials that will provide awareness about basic or practical hygiene.
The ordinance entitled “Basic or Practical Hygiene Awareness Ordinance in the City of Cebu” was authored by Councilor Eduardo Rama, Jr.
“The importance of basic or practical hygiene awareness against any communicable diseases such as COVID-19 cannot be denied nowadays,” read the ordinance.
Section 2 provides that primarily, this legislative measure is enacted to provide basic or practical hygiene awareness against any form of communicable disease that may spread easily.
All public utility vehicles, schools, restaurants, malls, other business establishments or similar establishments are required to install basic or practical hygiene awareness signages in conspicuous areas.

세부 시의회는 기본적인 위생에 대한 인식을 제고할 간판이나 스티커, 또는 유사 표지판 등을 의무적으로 세우도록 하는 조례를 통과시켰다.
코로나19와 같은 전염병에 대해 기본적으로 위생의식을 실천하는 것은 매우 중요하다는 것이다.
이에 따라 모든 대중교통 차량, 학교, 식당, 쇼핑몰, 기타 사업체 또는 유사 시설 등은 눈에 띄는 기본 영역에 기본적인 위생 수칙을 담은 실용적인 표지판을 설치해야 한다.
모든 간판과 스티커에는 정부의 보건 당국이 제공하는 손씻기, 마스크 착용, 사회적 거리두기 같은 기본적인 위생 조치를 명시해야 한다.
아직 규격 사이즈와 기타 세부사항의 조율이 더 필요하지만 앞으로 조례가 발효되고 난 이후에는 위반자에게 초범의 경우 1,500페소 벌금이 부과되며, 두번째 위반 시에는 2,000페소 세번째 위반부터는 5,000페소 벌금이 과금되고 사업허가가 취소될 수 있다.
