라푸라푸 찬 시장, ECQ 조치보다는 세분화된 지역별 락다운이 낫다

Lapu-Lapu mayor: I’m for granular lockdown instead of ECQ

Lapu-Lapu Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan said that he was more in favor of implementing a granular lockdown than placing the city under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) status.
Chan said this after he admitted that he received suggestions from medical frontliners to place the city under ECQ.
The suggestion was made because of the continued increase of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city, and the presence of the Delta variant.
“If we can do it in a week or two weeks, so that is the suggestion of our personnel, health personnel. If we can do it in two weeks where there are no movement." Chan
The Lapu-Lapu Mayor Chan also said that he had a meeting today, August 9, 2021, with Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia where they might also tackle the issue in placing the whole province under ECQ.

라푸라푸 시의 아홍 찬 시장은 최근 크게 확신된 코로나19의 영향으로 도시 전체에 ECQ 조치를 발령하는 것보다는 세분화된 지역별 락다운을 시행하는 것이 더 낫다고 견해를 밝혔다.
앞서 보건당국은 찬 시장에게 라푸라푸 시에 ECQ 조치를 시행하도록 권고했다고 찬 시장은 인정했다.
라푸라푸 시에 현재 코로나19 바이러스 확산세가 지속적이며 델타 변종 바이러스도 발견되었기 때문이다.
보건당국은 1~2주 안에 만약 코로나19 확산세가 통제되지 않으면 2주정도의 ECQ 조치 시행을 권고했다.
그러나 어제 9일 세부 주정부의 가르시아 주지사는 코로나19 확산세를 막기 위해 바랑가이별 세분화된 지역 락다운을 시행하고자 한다고 발표했으며, 찬 시장은 이에 대해 찬성의 입장을 보였다.
찬 시장은 라푸라푸 시의 경제 상황은 이미 고사 위기이므로 ECQ 조치로 돌아갈 여력이 없다고 말했다.
찬 시장은 델타 변종 사례가 나온 10곳의 바랑가이에 세분화된 지역 락다운을 적용하는 것을 고려하고 있다고 덧붙였다.
해당 10곳의 바랑가이는 Looc, Basak, Babag, Pusok, Pajo, Marigondon, Agus, Bankal, Maribago 및 Mactan 등지이다.
