Guadalupe, Cebu City barangay captain Michael Gacasan is calling on the city government to put up a vaccination site in their barangay to encourage more residents to get vaccinated.
Guadalupe, the biggest barangay in the city, has a population of about 80,000. It leads all of the city’s 80 barangays in terms of COVID-19 cases.
Gacasan said he is hoping for a positive response from city officials on his request.
He said he has already prepared an area for possible assesment and inspection.
세부 과달루페 바랑가이의 캡틴 마이클 가카산은 더 많은 과달루페 주민들의 예방접종을 받도록 독려하기 위해 과달루페 바랑가이에 별도의 예방접종 장소를 마련해달라고 세부시 정부에 촉구하고 있다.
세부 시에서 가장 큰 바랑가이인 과달루페의 인구는 약 8만 명에 달한다.
그리고 과달루페에서 발생한 코로나 19의 사레는 세부시 전체 80곳의 바랑가이에 영향을 미치고 있다고 그는 언급했다.
그는 과달루페 지역에서 이미 장소에 대한 평가를 마쳤으며 예비된 가까운 장소를 마련할 수 있다고 언급했다.
과달루페 지역에 별도의 백신접종센터가 마련되면 과달루페 지역에서도 특히 산악지역에 거주하는 주민들이 백신접종의 혜택을 받는데 유리해 질 것이라고 그는 덧붙였다.
그러나, 세부시 코로나19 비상운영센터와 세부시 관계자들은 아직 과달루페 바랑가이의 요청에 대해 논평하지 않고 있다.
세부-막탄 제 4교의 착공이 내년 두테르테 대통령의 임기가 끝나기 전에 있을 예정이다.
세부를 비롯한 중부비사야지역의 뎅기열 감염사례가 전년 대비 크게 줄어 들었다.
