Close to 12 thousand health protocol violators in Cebu City fined

Around 12,000 individuals were apprehended and fined for violating health protocols and ordinances in Cebu City.
Police Lt. Colonel Ryan Devaras, Cebu City Police Office’s deputy city director for administration, said they were rounded up following a series of “Oplan Bulabog” operations in 10,652 establishments from April to June this year.
This as some of the arrested quarantine violators do not believe that the coronavirus still exists.
“Despite having a massive rekorida and implementing the minimum health protocols for over a year now, many people are remiss in complying with the health protocols.”

세부시에서 약 1만 2천 명의 사람들이 건강 프로토콜과 관계된 조례를 위반한 혐의로 체포되고 벌금이 부과되었습니다. 올해 4월부터 6월까지 10,652곳의 시설에서 적발된 사람들이다.
통금시간 위반으로 8,331명이 체포되고 벌금이 부과되었다.
공공장소에서 안면 마스크를 착용하지 않은 사람은 2,876명, 검역 패스가 없이 외출한 537명, 주류금지 위반 조치에 적발된 사람 172명 등이다.
총 11,916명의 위반자 중 9,415명은 성인이고 나머지는 미성년자였다.
행정 벌금은 기본 500페소이며, 벌금을 지불할 수 없으면 대신 지역사회 봉사를 수행할 수 있다.
체포된 검역조치 위반자 중 일부는 여전히 코로나19 바이러스가 존재하지 않는다고 믿고 있기 때문이었다.
