The COVID-19 death toll in the Philippines breached the 22,000-mark on Tuesday, June 8, as the Department of Health (DOH) reported 95 more fatalities due to the disease.
The latest deaths raised the death toll to 22,064.
The DOH also reported 4,777 new infections, bringing the country's total caseload to 1,280,773. The number of reported cases every Tuesday is relatively lower due to testing laboratories that are either non-operational or are not able to submit data on time.
8일 필리핀 보건부는 95명의 추가 사망자를 보고했으며, 이로 인해 필리핀에서 코로나19로 사망한 사람의 수가 22,000명을 넘어섰다.
양성률은 14.3%로 늘어났으며, 사망률은 1.72%로 유지되고 있다.
특히 보건부 보고서에 따르면 50세 이상 80세 이하 환자의 사망률이 5.44%로 높다.
49세 미만 환자의 사망률이 0.42%인 것에 비해 거의 10배에 달하는 수치이다.
그래서 보건부는 노인들에 대한 예방접종이 우선적으로 이루어져야 한다고 반복적으로 강조했다.
보건부 두케 장관은 필리핀 수도권 사레는 유의미하게 감소하고 있지만 다른 지역의 사례가 다소 증가했다고 덧붙였다.
라푸라푸 시의 각 예방접종 센터에 코로나19 백신이 일시 품절되었다.
막탄세부국제공항에 내리는 국제선 항공편의 마닐라 니노이 아퀴노 공항으로의 우회 조치가 철회되었다.
만다웨 시는 보홀, 네그로스 오리엔탈, 네그로스 옥시덴탈 등 3개 지역에서 오는 방문자 들에게 PCR 음성결과를 요구하기로 했다.
