세부시, 일반인에게 투여하는 코로나19 백신 브랜드는 사전 발표하지 않기로

City to stop announcing vaccine brands ahead

Cebu City will abide by the directive of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for local government units to refrain from announcing in advance the brand of the COVID-19 vaccines they will administer to the public.
DILG issued the directive upon recommendation of the Department of Health (DOH) to avoid incidents like what happened in Luzon where people crowded at a vaccination site for a vaccine brand that they prefer.
DILG Secretary Eduardo Año said the recipients of the vaccines will be informed of the brand once they are at the vaccination site.
Mayor Edgardo Labella said he agrees with the DILG decision and has instructed the city’s Vaccine Advisory Board (VAB) to heed the directive.

세부시는 지방정부기관 차원에서 일반인에게 투여하는 코로나19 백신의 브랜드를 사전에 발표하지 않기로 한 필리핀 내부무(DILG)의 권고를 따르기로 했다.
DILG는 앞서 사람들이 선호하는 백신 브랜드를 접종하기 위해 백신 접종 장소를 선별하여 방문해 혼잡을 야기한 중부 루손 지역에서 발생한 사례를 피하고자 보건부의 권고에 따라 이와 같은 지침을 발표했다.
다만 백신을 접종할 사람들이 백신 접종 장소에 도착하면 그 때 브랜드에 대한 정보와 안내를 받게 될 전망이다.
라벨라 세부시장은 지역 주민들에게 브랜드에 크게 상관하지 말고 모든 백신이 효과적이므로 믿고 이용할 수 있도록 촉구했다.
또, 예방접종 장소에서 사회적 거리두기가 준수될 수 있도록 경찰과 유관부서가 서로 협력하도록 지시했다.
