만다웨 시, 트라이시클 승객 2명 탑승 가능하도록 조정할까

2 passengers per trike pushed in Mandaue

Mandaue City is soon to lift the one passenger in a tricycle policy that imposes a P25 fare per passenger.
“Two passengers na. Usa sa sulod and usa sa backride, provided nga naay plastic barrier. But we need pa og concurrent SP (sangguniang panlungsod) legislation,” said Krizzy Hyll Retuya, chief of staff of City Councilor Jimmy Lumapas, who is the chairman on transportation at the City Council.
Retuya said that a resolution on this matter will be filed this Wednesday during the council’s regular session.
He said that if the resolution is approved, then the tricycle fare would be then P20 per passenger.
It can be recalled that the Tricycle-For-Hire Franchising Regulatory Board convened last week on the proposal of Lumapas to allow a maximum of two passengers and reduce the current fare per trip.

현재 만다웨 시의 트라이시클 탑승객은 트라이시클 당 1명으로 제한되고 있으며 승객에게 부과되는 기본요금은 25페소이다. 그런데, 트라이시클 이용 승객을 2명으로 가능하도록 하고, 기본요금을 20페소로 조정하는 방안이 이번주 수요일 만다웨 시의회 정기회의에서 제출될 예정이다.
트라이시클 운전자는 항상 마스크를 착용해야 하며, 검역관련한 증명서를 제시할 수 있어야 한다.
운전자와 승객 사이에는 플라스틱 장벽이 설치되어야 하고, 트라이시클 내부에는 소독제 병이 비치되어야 한다.
모든 트라이시클은 매일 운행 전후에 소독해야 한다.
올해 초, 트라이시클 관련 협회의 일부 회원들은 경제적 어려움을 해소하며 단축된 트라이시클 운행 경로의 제한을 해제하도록 요구하는 집회를 열었다.
코로나19 전염병 이전에는 트라이시클 요금이 기본 8페소 였던 것을 승객당 25페소로 올렸지만 현재는 한 대의 트라이시클에 한 명의 승객만 탑승할 수 있다.
