Majority of Cebu City cases fall under 20-39 age bracket

More than half or 53.3 percent of the total confirmed active COVID-19 cases in Cebu City involve people within the age range of 20 to 39 years old, data from the Emergency Operations Center showed.

The EOC has verified 1,957 cases out of the 2,043 cases tagged by the Department of Health-7 to Cebu City. Out of the verified number, a majority or 1,043 cases belong to the working age bracket, which EOC deputy chief implementer Joel Garganera said is the “most mobile.”

There are also 257 cases that fall under the 40-49 age bracket, 67 under the 9-below bracket, 118 under the 10-19 bracket, 221 under the 50-59 bracket, 165 under the 60-69 bracket, and 86 under the 70 and above bracket.

세부시 확진환자의 절반이상, 대략 53.3% 이상이 20세에서 39세 사이의 연령층이라고 세부시 EOC 데이터가 보고했다.

확진자 중 무증상 신규사례수는 49~50%대로 거의 절반 가까이가 무증상 확진자이다.

세부시 EOC는 일을 하거나, 친한 사람들과 모임을 가졌다가 혹시 의심 증상이 나타나면 꼭 테스트를 받을 것을 권고했다.
