세부를 경유하는 승객 'Acceptance Letter' 필요없다.

No need for ‘letter of acceptance’ for passengers bound for Cebu province

The Cebu Provincial Government announced on Tuesday, February 2, that they will not require passengers arriving at Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) to present letters of coordination upon entry.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia told reporters in a press conference on Tuesday that the Capitol has never issued any formal directive, mandating passengers to present letters of acceptance from the Capitol and the local government unit (LGU) of their destination.

“There is no need for a letter of acceptance from Cebu province and the LGU of their destination, towns, and component cities of the province. In fact, the province welcomes them!” said Garcia.

Garcia also said the Capitol, together with airport officials, will be looking into reports that several individuals stationed at MCIA have misrepresented the provincial government by telling passengers they need letters of coordination from her and LGUs.

세부 주정부는 어제 2일 발표하기를 막탄세부국제공항에 도착하는 승객이 'Acceptance Letter' 를 제시하지 않아도 된다고 했다.

화요일 기자회견을 통해 가르시아 주지사는 주정부가 승객들에게 목적지의 지방정부 기관에서 발행한 'Acceptance Letter' 를 요구하도록 하는 공식적인 지시를 발표한 적이 없다고 말했다.

다만, 세부 시 정부는 발행한 매뉴얼이 있으며, 메트로 마닐라에서 막탄세부 국제공항으로 도착한 모든 승객은 목적지 바랑가이에서 발행한 'Acceptance Letter' 를 제시하도록 명령하고 있다.

가르시아 주지사는 이를 세부 시로 향하는 사람들만을 위한 것이라고 설명했다.

가르시아 주지사는 공항 당국이 지방으로 향하는 승객을 구분하기 위한 부스와 테이블을 해체했으며, 공항 주면에 세부 입도를 환영한다는 내용의 알림판을 설치할 계획이라고 덧붙였다.
