DOLE orders release of salary differential

The Department of Labor and Employment is urging employers to pay their employees the salary differential, especially to those who have not yet complied with the existing minimum wage order since its effectivity early last year.

DOLE-7 Regional Director Salome Siaton said Central Visayas workers, whose employers did not conform to the prescribed minimum wage rates under Wage Order No. ROVII-22, are expected to get paid with their salary differential beginning January 5, 2020.

Siaton explained that workers, who were not paid with the correct daily wage based on the new minimum wage rates applicable in their area starting January 5, 2020 should be able to receive the difference between their existing wage rates received and that of the new wage rates based on wage order.

필리핀 고용노동부는 기존의 최저임금 명령을 준수하지 않는 고용주들에게 급여의 최저임금을 잘 지켜 지급하라고 촉구했다.

세부를 포함한 중부 비사야 지역의 필리핀 고용노동부 국장은 1월 5일부터 모든 고용주가 임금관련 노동법의 조항을 준수해야 한다고 말했다.

메트로 세부지역의 비농업 근로자에게는 하루 최소 404페소의 일당이 지급되어야 한다.

10명 미만의 근로자를 고용하는 시설은 근로자에게 최소 394페소를 지급해야 한다.

B급 도시 분류에 속하는 지방 중소도시의 일일 최저임금은 일당 366페소이며, 근로자가 10명 미만이면 하루일당이 361페소이다.

C급 도시 분류에 속하는 지방 중소도시의 일일 최저임금은 일당 356페소이며, 근로자가 10명 미만이면 하루일당이 351페소이다.
